Party Decor – Tiffany-inspired

This year I decided to celebrate my birthday and I did want to have a special DIY decor for it. After thinking about it, I chose the theme Tiffany and Co, just because I love their color. Of course the brand is amazing, but I’m not into jewelry, I love the concept.

When we went to New York last August, we visited the new store at 5th Avenue and the Blue Box Cafe they opened. Their decoration was my startup for the plan. I checked many references on the internet, but I didn’t like the majority of them. My idea was something elegant, minimalist and modern, like their new flagship store.

The main idea was to have a large table with all my girlfriends, and the shelves by it were the perfect spot for the Tiffany-inspired boxes. I did use artificial flowers to decorate them, this way I could start all the decor in advance and test everything out. It was such a fun project! I spent 2 weeks decorating slowly, and the day before the party I had my neighbors coming to help with the balloons while I was working on the flower arrangements. I ordered roses, hydrangeas, spray roses and greenery from the Kroger store by my house. With the proper care, my flowers were beautiful for 3 whole weeks!

For the cake table I added a backdrop inspired by the Tiffany box. I did use a metal structure with a wide satin to wrap the sides and make the big bow, and the balloons look great inside it!

Isn’t it cute? I love the result.

Pro Tips:
– Hydrangeas need a lot of water, I had to refill the vases on Saturday. If you use them on floral foam, they won’t last.
– To create full arrangements without foam, you can use clear tape and make a grid crossing them on top of the vase.
– For the balloons you can use the fishing line to put them all together easily and fast.

Where to buy:
– Acrylic champagne flutes: Very elegant and good quality, I will keep using them for my outdoor parties
– Square Disposable plates: Great quality and beautiful design
– Napkins: Those are actually for hands, but I love the shape and the color, they worked really well for the party
– Vases: I already had four of these, but I got another set of six to have enough for the decor
– Candles: I am just obsessed with them! They look so real!!! Not to mention the remote control is a plus
– Diamond-shaped Name Holders : These are absolutely cute! I decided to not use them for the names to let people pick their own seats, but I did use them everywhere around the decor
– Glitter wallpaper: I did use them to wrap my wood tables and make them fancy, modern and shiny. It was super easy to apply and to remove, it didn’t cause any damage to the surface
– Clear Acrylic Cube Display: I got two sets and I did use them for many details on the decor, from combining them with the boxes to display candies
– Tiffany Blue Boxes: I ordered them and applied the logo using cricut. Initially I thought about wrapping boxes, but it would be a mess and too much work. These are just perfect and great quality
– Chair covers: I have these covers in many colors (black, blue, red, green, and now Tiffany blue) and I use them every time I want to change my dining room decor. They are good quality, super easy to install and give a new look to any chair
– LED letters: A super cute detail! I wish they had remote control too, but they offer a nice touch to the party decor
