Let me just say it: I’m a KitchenAid girl through and through.
From small appliances to big-ticket items, I trust the brand with my whole kitchen.
I own:
- The double oven
- The built-in cooktop
- The fridge
- And yes, a full arsenal of small appliances that I use (and love) daily.
This post is all about those small appliances — the tools I rely on for everyday cooking, baking, and even sugar grinding. Yep, sugar.
My KitchenAid Collection (and What I Really Think of Each One)
🧁 Stand Mixer — Professional 5+
It’s the classic. The reason KitchenAid became famous.
- Mine has 10 speeds and it’s a powerhouse.
- I don’t use it as often as I’d like (life gets busy), but every time I do, it’s magic.
- Perfect for baking, whipped cream, dough, meringue — it does it all effortlessly.
Heavy? Yes. But 100% worth the counter space.
🖐 Hand Mixer (Navy Blue)
This one’s for quick jobs when I don’t want to drag out the big one.
- Has 5 speeds
- Less powerful, so it takes longer for things like whipping egg whites
- But much more convenient for small tasks or lightweight recipes
🥣 Blender
This was a bit of a letdown, to be honest.
- The motor on my first one burned out the first time I tried blending yuca (cassava) for a Brazilian shrimp stew (bobó de camarão).
- KitchenAid replaced it under warranty, so customer service was excellent.
- But now I’m very careful — I use it for light tasks only: smoothies, milkshakes, cake batter.
It’s not built for dense or gummy ingredients. Period.
🍅 Hand Blender (Immersion Blender)
One of my favorite tools for soups and sauces.
- Stainless steel body — super durable
- Can be used directly in the pan (but not on non-stick enamel pans like Le Creuset!)
- Easy to clean and super handy
💎 Spice Grinder
Originally bought for coffee beans — now I use it for everything.
- Grinds nuts, seeds, coffee, sugar (yes, I grind my own organic sugar for baking!)
- Also great for making nut flours (almond, cashew, walnut)
- Inox cup — easy to clean and ultra durable
A small but mighty game-changer.
☕ Drip Coffee Maker
- Programmable — set it the night before and wake up to coffee
- Easy to clean
- I use this when I have guests or want to make more traditional, larger servings
Love it. Very reliable.
🥬 Food Processor
My go-to tool — especially helpful for picky eaters.
- My husband doesn’t eat any veggies or fruits.
- So I use the processor to mince onions and sneak them into food. Works every time.
- Also fantastic for grating cheese, slicing vegetables, making doughs, and more.
💔 Downside: The bowl cracked after ~3 years. Replacement is pricey.
Also, my first motor failed — but KitchenAid replaced it under warranty.
Durability, Design & Everyday Use
KitchenAid appliances are:
- Stylish (mine are black and silver, but they come in stunning colors too)
- Sturdy
- Reliable
That said, not every product is flawless:
- The food processor bowl is prone to cracking over time
- The blender motor isn’t great for heavy-duty blends
- The hand mixer could be a bit stronger
But overall? These complaints are minor compared to the benefits.
I use these tools weekly — and they’ve become staples in my kitchen.
Cleaning is easy, most parts are dishwasher-safe, and even when some things get a bit worn, I still get plenty of use from them.
Final Thoughts: Would I Recommend KitchenAid?
Absolutely.
KitchenAid is still my first choice whenever I’m buying a small appliance — and I always wait for Black Friday or major promos to snag the best deals.
If you’re looking for:
- Quality
- Style
- Performance
- Great customer service
…then KitchenAid won’t disappoint.
